Senior QA Automation Engineer (MUST have strong SQL, Paas, SaaS)
This client is SPECIFICALLY looking for someone who is experienced in building automation that tests DRMS, Hadoop project, search engines or data warehouses or testing of infrastructure experience.
• Ideal candidate will have experience testing Big Data related technologies (ideally Hadoop, otherwise Spark, Cassandra, HBase, MongoDB, etc)
• MUST have very strong SQL coding abilities and a resume that documents SQL experience in employment history

At about 20 people strong and grnt boasts an impressive employee roster and is backed by some significant venture capitalists. This client is still in stealth mode and currently based in Mountain View, CA. They have raised a $10 million Series A from two top tier VC Firms.
In this role, you will help automate and streamline processes, build and maintain tools for deployment, and troubleshoot issues in the development, test and production environments. The ideal DevOps Engineer will have a thorough understanding of software build and release processes, experience with databases, big data, or distributed systems and have a general desire to move fast.

Responsibilities
o Work closely with Engineering team to deliver sprints/releases on time
o Be an active participant in defining and overseeing overall development governance and standards
o Understand requirements, articulate options and solutions, communicate pros and cons and participate in the decision making process related to platform architecture
o Review QA project artifacts developed by software engineers including Test Plans, Test Scripts and project strategies
o Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable
o Assist in generation of use cases to ensure that all functional requirements of a system are captured during the product design phase
o Define test automation, infrastructure and process
o Ensure test cases are complete and traceable to requirements and design
Requirements
o At least 8 years in Quality Assurance
o 5+ years in QA Automation
o Last 3 years hands-on QA should be 90-100% automation
o MUST have experience testing Big Data related technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, HBase, MongoDB, etc)
o BS Degree in CS or equivalent work experience
o Strong database internals or distributed systems testing experience
o Ability to write complex SQL queries
o Strong drive towards automation and SQL automation knowledge
o Proven record of leading highly technical QA teams
o Experience with executing SQL and ETL
o Experience with load, performance and stress testing
o Experience with Agile methodologies
o Experienced with Selenium/JAVA web testing, Jenkins and Jira are highly desired.
