Busy medical practice on Sheepshead Bay is seeking to fill Insurance Authorization Representative position.
Bilingual Russian/English.
Detail oriented and result driven.
Major responsibilities:
Contacts insurance carriers to obtain benefit coverage, policy limitations, authorization/notification, and pre-certifications for patients.
Educates patients, staff and providers regarding referral and authorization requirements, payer coverage, eligibility guidelines, documentation requirements, and insurance related changes or trends.
Maintains knowledge of and reference materials of the following: Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer requirements, guidelines and policies, insurance plans requiring pre-authorization and a list of current accepted insurance plans.
Occasionally performs receptionist duties such as greets and registers patients; prepares and processes appropriate forms; directs patients to appropriate areas and arranges transportation needs.
Experience is not required, we hire for attitude, train for skills.
This position requires work authorization in the U.S.
